Ah boy-a little human
Like a child, he would find ways to wriggle himself out of the routine, like pretending to be distracted, or just stopped altogether looking tired and pitiful. It gets worse when the weather is not cooperative or conducive for a workout.
Today he tried to pull the same stunt, so mummy pulled out the packet of bak kwa and he immeditately sprang into action knowing that he had to complete the lap before he gets his treat....very cute la he

A husband's love
I've been wanting to blog this for a long time, but each time I have the time, I only have the energy to update my work stuff.
This post is about a most devoted husband I've known-my dad.
My mum is an opera addict, having performed and practiced cantonese opera from 16 to 60. She's now in her 60s and she still going strong in this artform.
My dad, not half as musically talented as my mum, enjoyed just chauferring her to and fro her practices. During his younger days he would wait around and see through her needs such as fetching her tea and buying her supper. Later as he got older, he would send her to the clan, then go home to nap or watch TV and be back in time to pick her up when practice is over.
Recently my dad just recovered from a mild stroke and we, the kids forbade him to drive. To curb his temptation so that he would take time off to recuperate properly (otherwise he would continue chauffering my mum and we caught him doing that several times), we had to do the cruel thing to sell off his car.
We encouraged our mum to carry on her pursuits to busy herself, but it also meant she would have to move out of the comfort zone to learn to take the public transport.
When my dad's health improved, he would saunter to the bus stop near our house to wait for his wife to come home from her bus ride.
When he got even better, he surprised my mum by taking the bus to the clan to meet her so that they can take the bus back together......and now apparently, is a regular ritual........and you should see the beam on my mum's face when she recounts this to us.
Sweet!
reminds to self - what is most important in this world is -true love, passion, honesty and GOD

Learn the Art of Tease
By popular demand, we are pleased to have one of Singapore's most sensuous and sort after exotic dance teacher agreeing to conduct a special 6-week "ART OF EXOTIC DANCE by Sophie K" at the Acro Polates.Clearly from Sophie's pictures, the moves draw attention to the women's curves and lines, and the participant learns to appreciate her feminity and learn how to ooze sensuality with confidence.
The benefits, besides learning how to improve posture and facial expressions, you also improve flexibility and tone muscles like those of the thighs, carves & butt.
Enquire at Acro Polates, drop us an email or call to enquire. Limited slots

Bad then good news
Today is a queer day.
I was supposed to have a meeting with an event company and its client for selection of MC for their dinner event. Er..I was one of the choices, normally I don't like this kind of selection, I meet only when selected. But I was looking forward to seeing Hard Rock Cafe in Resort World for the 1st time, more importantly I wanted to be up close and personal with the enticing roller coaster.
Then half an hour before meeting, I received a call to say meeting was cancelled. Was a little sad, not able to see Singapore's current most talk about, and not getting a chance to be selected. But when I spoke to the event company rep, he said I was already selected! Hey!
Then today I made a mistake that cost me a couple of hundreds. I discussed with my colleague that we needed to seek discounts from other vendors to make good, and through lots of negotiation and pleading, we saved more than we lost.
All these by sheer God's grace, because I sought Him :)

Never too old
Acro Polates students' ages have been widening, we are seeing younger and older students, which is an excellent sign.
But still many older ones are usually worried and always ask if they are up to it. Sure there are precautions to be taken, but I hope this video is as inspirational to you as it is to me
She's 83, can't believe right.. I always tell myself I want to pole til 60, but now I hope I can push my boundaries...heehee

Uurgh! Scary! So true
I was doing some reading up of chinese zodiac in preparation for a chinese new year show I have to host this weekend.
I peeked into mine and how eerily true. It said
It is essential for the monkey to not be overly emotional. You will find that not everything will go your way initially. While you might lose a close friend, you have to maintain mental stability.
He was a indeed a close friend before, liked a nephew (past tense...NO longer and NEVER!), he was someone I took along for family meals, late night foot massages, cakes and jamming sessions. Only consolation is, all these happened at the end of year of Ox.
Don't worry, I AM VERY sane and stable, but still to the MORON I wanna yell TRAITOR

Truth Prevails
How strange it is for people who cheat or lie, they never admit the crime straight. They try to hide, evade or lie some more. Until truth is out, until they can lie no more...then there's always excuse they call "causes for their behaviour".
Mr F, an event salesman in my company, has long been spreading lies about me, I suppose this was to buy symphathy, perhaps useful in case he was being found out. You know how cheats, thieves and liars never blame themselves for what they do, it's always the boss, the girlfriend, the parents to be blamed, if nothing else, they have bipolar syndrome.
For those who obviously bought into his story AND symphatise with him to have to deal with a blood sucking boss (me), you can carry on being his friend, and stop reading now. For the sensible ones who know better, and came asking for my version, thank you. And do read on.....
Last December Client engaged my company to deliver a certain number of event services.
Later Client wanted additionals services - design and print of invitation cards. Unknowing to me, Mr F, who handled the account, made private arrangements, provided invitation cards but Client was to pay him directly in cash.
So, I wouldn't know right? As long as I get the main payment.
But the good Lord is on my side.
Mr F had the audacity to produce a separate invoice (using MY COMPANY'S LETTERHEAD) so that Client can claim the amount to pay him in cash....BUT client's HQ accidentally processed the cheque and sent to my company. I was unsuspecting when I received the cheque and asked him about it. Mr F kept cool and quickly brushed it as a mistake by Client. When pressed to check, Mr F pretended to make a call to the Client, outside of the office using his mobile (he never liked to make calls in the office using office phone), and returned to confirm that the cheque was sent by mistake, and that I ought to return it.
I became suspicious, so I asked Mr F to submit the contract and invoice of this event. True to my suspicion, he had altered the contract (but he failed to alter the invoice), he added the "provision of invitation cards" in the contract. I wouldn't have found out if I had not kept a copy of originals which was signed between him and client (without the invitation cards). He had so blatantly 做手脚 ! So despicable!
When he knew he was trapped, Mr F had no choice but to admit he made a private deal, BUT still insisted that the money was to pay the designer cum printer of the invitation cards. ......but through more checks, I found out he already made the company send a cheque to pay the desgners and printers for this job, combined with other jobs. So sneaky and.what does that tell you? He had intended to pocket the ENTIRE AMOUNT! Oh what an unscrupulous cheat, and LIAR LIAR LIAR
And to think Mr F used to comdemn those petty thieves in the event industry, and now he is bringing this upon himself.
I hope he stops spreading things, not unless Mr F needs documentary proof to be published here to prove my point.
Now you all know what was the big piece of clutter I cleared the other day
