OH WHAT A THREAT!

I just received this email from a person that reads :

"Remove my video of the pole dance competition from your website by today, if not my company is going to take action"

I think you should email the person who uploads it. I did not video you. I merely linked in from youtube that says "FOR PUBLIC VIEWING". You should request for the person to either remove, disallow embed or set it to private.

I have said nothing other than good things about you, girlie.

Anyway, my dear blog readers. I'm sorry, you will see videos only of myself. It is not safe to post anything of anyone anymore, not when instead of thanking you, i have to deal with such arrogance.

I thought the whole idea of putting one's own videos on YouTube s to get eyeballs! Such arrogance and so rude. I'm sure a polite note would have worked better.

Perhaps courtesy is not promoted in some 3rd world. Why even dance in public then?

I am with you on this. I don't see what the contestant was upset about.

Maybe not her, but from contest organizers?

Even if no one got her agreement to post the video online, there's no need to be rude about it. She should be going after person who posted it on YouTube.

Thanks all for comments.

I shan't waste too much energy on people who do not deserve to be associated to my blog, so this is my stand:

I have been following the Club's competition via videos loaded by a Josh something even before the finals, because i had not been free enough to be there personally. So after the finals, naturally I was curious about the results, and true enough some videos were uploaded. As it had allowed embedding, i embedded it here since everyone here knows i'm the pole'fessional. I embedded it because i thought the performance was quite good.

It is in the rules of youtube that once you have selected public viewing and allowed embedding, it is "public material". There is an option to select private or disallow embed. Unlike that day when i borrowed a photo of ieatishootiblog of which i sought permission, I do not usually seek permission in youtube videos since the embedding is allowed. I know of people changing their minds later and deselect embed or remove the videos entirely, and the link would just be broken and not viewable after that.

Just like for my case, my videos have gone everywhere and I deem it acceptable as i had expected it when i uploaded them. But when i find out a particular one has gone to undesired place, i simply delete it so that when people click on the link it will reveal "video has been removed".

Assuming someone else had uploaded the video of a Ms Hegde without her permission, she should write to the person and have it removed, and if that fails, she can inform youtube to say she is the person on the video and that is infringement and from what i understand youtube acts on this rather quickly.

Assuming Ms Hedge is not local, or not net savvy or not an expect with youtube, she could have written to me nicely and i would gladly share my experience with her. Maybe she feels there is no need to be polite. Or maybe she does not know technologies have been so advanced that when she enters a competition like this, there might be a hundred handphone videos shooting her way and that there many popular video sites like these. Sure, I don't condone this kind of act but again, no one coerce or force you to take part. Did you even observe how many people the competition attracted?

Anyway, i have always been quite flattered when someone link my videos. Of course if someone makes unkind remarks (of which there are) i have the right to be unhappy, but all i had commented was how sexy and leggy she was. Anyway sis, the email was NOT from the organiser.

I don't know who Josh is, he may the organiser or just a fan of the competition. His postings did not appear to have ill intentions. I don't know by now what instructions he had received.

Oh and one more thing. Sis, the email not from organiser. Anyway, don't think organiser will mind as it probably does more good than harm.

And if i were her, i would thank Josh for it. SL will know how long it takes to just load one photo on a blog. To load a video of that size it probably takes a freakin' long time. So far, no one has done that for me, i have always been loading my own videos.

Ok, enough said.

Since the threat was not from organizer, who would have been pleased with the free publicity, I am very curious as to why an individual contestant has a "company" in control of his/her participation in contests who would take "action". All sorts of thoughts are coming to mind...hmmmmm...
