I was bo liao enough to google the infamous "shut up and sit down" and it threw up more than 13 pages of results!

More bo liao was when i was having a 'friendly' argument (oxymoron) with spider friend about who does more domestic work, and i found myself losing, I yelped "SHUT UP AND SIT DOWN" and we both ended up laughing uncontrollably!

Anyway to digress, but not to anything cheerier I have been having really weird dreams lately. One of them was quite morbid.

Few nights ago I dreamt I was caught in a gunfire attack of some sort.......I dreamt that spider friend was separated from me and suddenly from afar I heard him instructing me to lie low amidst the many bodies and play dead. I did that and even found some cloth to cover and shield me, all these while I could hear the gunshots and wondering when it would hit me......thankfully no one kicked me in my sleep or I would have dreamt that i got hit! haha...some consolation there eh?

Serial Video Uploader

A few weeks ago, youtube suspended not one, but two of my accounts, i.e. all those videos which took me years to upload...poof....GONE! When I clicked on those links or searched the account names, it either showed up nothing or announced "this account is suspended"

I thought that weird as if they had found anything wrongful with my account or my videos, they would write and advise why and how to stay out of trouble. But to suspend both very different accounts and with different videos? I couldn't help but suspect that it could be some jealous souls who envied the success of some of my videos made a prank or something.

Convinced that that would be the case, I decided not to investigate with youtube, but instead wasted no time in registering new accounts and started some franctic uploading again. To play safe, i even uploaded onto other video portals.

Several weeks later while watching others' videos, I tried my luck searching again and was surprised that my accounts were reinstated! Everything was there! Videos, photos, everything!

Happily I told spider friend "eh, you know what? youtube returned my accounts. Make me waste time registering new ones and uploading them all over"

Spider friend replied " That's why! they suspend you and you upload again. They can't stop you, might as well just let you continue!"

Wallau, I sound so serial!

Mum's birthday is mostly celebrated quite lavishly with full course chinese dinners and with lots of friends, family and her opera students jamboree-ing with her.

But this year she opted for quiet cosy dinners, divisively attended with different smaller groups of people. While this afternoon she met my sister for lunch, I decided to buy her dinner at a nearby chinese restaurant called 福臨門 (Fu Lin Men) since I had to rush back for pole classes right after. My niece did not turn up due to school work load so I asked my 2 other team mates over and there were in total 5 of us.
Throughout the one and half hours we were there, we were the ONLY patrons in the restaurant, not kidding. We enjoyed the best service ever, undivided attention from the restaurant crew and when it was time to light the candles and sing happy birthday, we had the restaurant entourage singing along!

I thought I had become "boring"!

Now that I have finally efiled (thanks to Meow) , i realize I no longer just file as an "individual", I have to account for a business entity as well.

Previously as an 'individual", i realised I can blog anything, rant, scold, b*tch about anything I want. Of late, I thought I have become boring, nothing much to blog, giving excuses that perhaps I am devoting too much time to facebook. But, the truth is, now that I have a business and I represent that business, I actually have a reputation to uphold.....translate to mentally scanning what I can say or blog! Isn't that sad?

I can no longer openly express my displeasure, dislike disapproval for someone or something. Human, especially women can be very petty and of late I have encountered pettiness of the most STUPID kind and from the most unexpected person, but..again, now i can't say it here, as she could be a client, a student, a close confidante, etc etc........sigh (but if you want to know, can, over coffee...heehee)

Even sometimes some casual comments can be misconstrued as something else......so I'd rather just...be quiet...here I can only show you success stories, my videos, my show pictures...or , or...totally unrelated lame stuff that may make someone's day...like the following (contribution of of my dear sister )

Dear Mrs. Jones, I wish to clarify that I am not now, nor have I ever been, an exotic dancer. I work at Home Depot and I told my daughter how hectic it was last week before the blizzard hit. I told her we sold out every single shovel we had, and then I found one more in the back room, and that several people were fighting over who would get it. Her picture doesn't show me dancing around a pole. It's supposed to depict me selling the last snow shovel we had at Home Depot. From now on I will remember to check her homework more thoroughly before she turns it in.

I couldn't care less it they are from the PRC masseuse who are just saying for the sake of winning my business, but it is quite another when it comes from this burly Javanese makchik masseuse who gave me a much needed kneed and commented "wa miss, your body very sor-lid"... :)

But I must say, having lost some body fluids and fats (hopefully) after battling 2 weeks of flu (since return from Guangzhou), I do feel quite lean and tone and I'm loving it. I hope I don't return to my food craving days so quickly!

Been stalked?

Apparently I'm such a sort after regular massage patron that the "lao ban niang" (lady bosses) of 2 competitors offer incentives to win me over.

Tina, my masseuse was originally a "full-time" with Shop K. Recently she converted to free-lance (they call it "pao tai", literally translated as "run stage") i.e. she will go wherever there is business for her. As a free-lance, she earns 10% less per customer. The perk of being one, however, is she no longer has to be accountable to one boss (a rather nasty boss), and she now has a wider customer base .

Shop B's boss wasted no time in asking Tina to lasso me over by luring "free-parking" arrangements, which would jolly well save me $3 per visit. When Shop K's boss learned of that, she too reimburses me the parking charges. On top of that, she told Tina that she would re-instate her commission to the old rate if I am retained..

Somehow this is rather dejavu. My sister may recall that in JC, I had 2 ECAs (Extra Curricular Activities) "fighting" over me until they had to call in Vice Principal to make a decision. You may ask why couldn't I join both. The fact was I didn't want my grades to suffer and only would join one. I told them my mother said so!

Sorry for the digress. Anyway tonight after a performance I decided to find Tina again and would usually make an appointment first. For some reasons I didn't call and was told Tina is away on vacation by time i arrived. So I was assigned another lady. I could tell this other lady was both elated and stressed to be picked to attend to me. On one hand she kept apologising that her style is different from that of Tina and that I should guide her how to be as good.... she must have said it at least 5 times within that hour. On the other hand, she was incessantly praising my skin, my hands, my body that i don't look my age (yes she mentioned my age...like huh, how did she find out?) and all these while I was lying down butt naked, made me real--ly uncomfortable, as if like she was offering sexual rather than a massage service. When I told her my body's not that great anyway, that I'm short and a little meaty, she said how could it be when i only eat cup noodles!?!?! Then she said she remember seeing me one night eating cup noodles while waiting for Tina. Oh my, yes! That night I had to wait for 10 mins for Tina and I went to the convenience stall next to it to get myself a noodle. How could she remember something so minute. She also told me she found out why I wouldn't go to Shop B because one of the past masseuse had caused abrasion to me skin. The last draw was she told me she saw me drive my "black" car once and she admired me for being a brisk & sleek driver....... ewwwwwww...Ok enough.....i pretend to have fallen asleep!

Hi I'm back, refreshed and rejuvenated--NOT! I'll tell you more about that next time.


The better news is....I got myself quite a number of good buys. As the dresses are usually picked off the rack, most of them need alterations of some sort, except this blue dress that fitted me almost like custome-made. Just a tad longer than my five-foot-no-inches. I just need taller heels.

There's this guy who keeps sending girls to learn pole dancing at my school.


Rumour has it that these girls make-up his "latest" girl-friends. Not sure these girls are learning for what purpose-to satiate his pleasures, or to qualify for his "entertainment" business. But for whatever reasons, my other students joked that why doesn't he just woo me and then he can stop sending girls to my school and learn from me! hahaha, good thinking.

Times are really bad!

I would be lying if I told you the economic crunch has not affected the events industry.....I'm so free now I have booked myself a holiday next weekend, yes WEEKEND!

Recently a repeat client contracted me again as the MC for their upcoming company dinner. It has always been a relatively low-key, intimate, not too extravagant kind of event, with an MC, lots of staff performances. And so this year they let me "bao" (be in charged) the whole thing of which i gladly accepted.

Few days later, I received a short email from another event company, one of those that will contract just my singing services. The email read "your company does events? pls advice"

My reply "yes, what up?"

He said he "lost" a deal to me and upon further probing, I learnt that it was this repeat client. I tried to let him see he did not "lose" to me as they had been my direct client.

Later I found out that he had bad mouthed my company.

When the client told him that they had selected ** (my) company, his email reply to them was
"** Company? they are less than a year old in the industry. They must be the cheapest" (exact words).

Ouch! Times must be hard for him to feel so sore!

Tis actually quite nice

It was one of those event where i had to wake up in the morning to pile on make-up to hide those puffy eyes, extra concealers for the eye bags, and worse of all, had to put enough to last through the hot afternoon.

By mid-afternoon, after 2 sets of stage performances which included singing and dancing, and conducting several team-building games, I thought I had sweat enough to clean off the make-up.....

This picture taken was requested by an audience, xiao shi, using her camera some 4 hours later (i.e. 6 hours after putting on make-up). And when she sent it over to me via email today (so sweet of her) I was surprised I actually still look quite good!

Anyways, am very thankful for a good turn-out for our new beginner class, we had a FULL class. had to invert the colours for privacy sake.
