BUSY BUSY.....

Yes, tomorow is December and i shall be so....o....o. busy up til x'mas which is a good thing. But can hear Angelina complaining 'no updates'.

Thanks to those who remembered my birthday (actually some of you i tell you one la). For those who know, i think i have one of my best birthday this year although it was celebrated low key.

Anyway, mum, niece, sis left for hong kong this morning. Another sis and family will be paying their annual pilgrimage to tokyo disneyland mid of this month.....boo hoo.....i wanna go oso, but cannot.

Anyway, created another look for one of my recent show, quite nice la, but realised i'm looking more mature these days....sigh....is it the birthday (mid life)? Hope still can perform and appeal to uncles and aunties. But Joanne, don't you think you did a good job? (Ahem!) The other Joanne (Tan), if you reading this, welcome to my blog! We shall meet for CNY! Hee

SUCKS-PO

Anyone went to Sexpo? Did you feel your $15 was a rip off?

Wah liao, what a disappointment. I was so looking forward, thinking i can pick some exotic dance move tips, purchase some spit fire outfits for the shows. But the dancers turned out so.o.o. and i mean so.o.o amateur (I think those staff performance i choreograph are of higher standard). And the lingerie hanging on the racks for sale meant for steaming up your bedroom adventures are stocks from 10 years ago. I'm serious!

I thought exhibitions like these would not allow cameras so I didn't bring, but when i saw everyone armed with cameras or phone cameras frantically snapping away, i was like, shit, how come i didn't bring mine so that i can blog? But after browsing for half an hour, i know there was no loss, nothing much for me to snap, and maybe half the Singapore population already went. I think the hollywood boulevard strip in L.a. popular for their strip outfits and toys, if you have been there, is 10 times, make it 20, more exiting.

By far the most interesting things were the exhibits from Qing or whatever Dynasty, and makes you realise people in 3000 B.C. already very kinky, making out at gardens and so on, and usually with a peeping tom peering from a bush . Haha, so funny, and complete with their tok-tok-chiang wayang head gears and usually half cumbersomely undressed, if you know how many layers of fabric they used to wear. hahaha!

The booth that probably attracted most people were the House of Condom and the Vicon girls attemping exotic dance and blowing up condoms like a balloon (er, no, not at the same time, it's 2 separate acts) but what really attracted the audience were their micro mini skirts that revealed their bikini briefs that most ah peks thought was underwear peering out at them. At one point I hear from the main stage blasting Black Eye Pea's "don't funk with my heart" and i dashed to the scene thinking i can catch exotic dance performance. Dance performance it was, but by 2 barely adolescent "xiao mei mei" trying hard to memorise their steps. They had no make up on, no fancy costumes, i was wondering if it was only a rehearsal.

Then out of nowhere there was a dunking machine with a trying-so-hard-to-be coy lass cringing each time a tennis ball hits the canvas when it misses the target. And mind you it's not a free game, you gotto pay some $5 for 3 tries (maybe it's for charity, I don't know, i didn't go near enought to scrutinise). If you think like me "for what"??? (unless it's for charity) you are sane. Neverthless, this 'coy girl' (although i thought it fake) trying to flirt with the audience managed to attract enough insane people to pay to try to get her down.

I'm sorry, I'm usually not that bitchy. I don't mean to be hard on the dancers or the games but what I'm really disappointed is at how the whole thing doesn't worth the $15 admission. Honestly, if it's free admission i wouldn't have been so critical but 2 persons went and already thrity freaking bucks, and most of those toys and lingerie you can find at Orchard Towers, nothing new and unique about them. The most sold item in most of the booths was this vibrating ring to be worn by the men that gives women a sensation and hello, ......this item already hit the shelves of 7-11 more than half a year ago!

And for the dancers....please hire professional ones, not give dance schools a chance to showcase their beginner class students for this highly hyped debut event, i might as well watch those in my pole dance school!

If you ask me if I would go for subsequent Sexpo, maybe 5 years from now, that is if they survive the next 5 years here.

MERRY X'MAS

How Angie, spit fire or not? Kekekeke

10 days never blog already.

Too busy following the controversial news of clapbangkiss, poor girl. Just pity some people who are too young to know the price of stardom. I once had a 19-year old student who was so transfixed on becoming a star (then there were no idol, project superstar contests) her mum hired several home-based grooming teachers and a full time marketing manager to sell her portfolio to recording companies. A day of her life included singing lessons (i was just one of the few singing teachers hired), photography, all kinds of grooming, doing demos etc, and guess what, she wasn't even ready to sing a full song in tune yet! And all these before her manager found any label to sign her up. Eventually I heard there was none and she (and her mother) got big time disappointment. I sacked myself as her singing teacher because she was getting so confused with the varied teachings (she is chinese and she did a demo in malay only because one of the teacher is malay???) and she sang Mandarin songs with a malay accent and English songs with a chinese twang!!! Give up, told mum i was too busy.

Anyway, i know, i know, i owe some the pervert story on plane but today not in the mood to think and recap. So just a few pictures of an awesome event I did last evening for a hip company. Bunch of young, trendy and si-beh on staff and you can tell from the way they dress for the event. One of the staff performance you see below choreographed by me.

These my dancers. Picture taken in ugly storeroom.

LOVE MY PEACOCK DRESS

Have been wanting to post this up because I love what I wore for the opening of the Shanghai Gala event. Bought this some years back from my regular seamstress. She must have sewn this and rented to a bride, but now she no longer in the bridal business (these days she sews the elaborate ballroom dance costumes and my costumes) so she asked me if I wanted to buy it. It was pretty, but I thought I will never have an occasion to wear this because those who know me know that this look is not very me.

Now, THIS IS me,

either this or the Cheena Suzie Wong look

Since my seamstress gave an irresistable price, I took it home and has been sitting in the wardrobe for a while. It's so colourful I call it the peacock dress.

So when I was told it was a Gala event and in China, hmm, I thought this would work because I always watch on TV those new year countdown events held in some big stadium in China and the Soprano female singers always don on one of these gowns, complete with immaculate make -up and hair piled up, with sideburns rolled into tendrils.

Worked it did, many came to tell me they liked my get-up, in fact a chinese model at the event told me I looked like a disney character. I choose to think she means the princess (or at least minnie the mouse) and not winnie the pooh.

A picture I took with Eric Moo, yes he was the guest star for the event (same picture, but one with and one without flash)

Eric raising the temperature with his powerful yet soulful vocals.

Hmm.... yes, he is very good....our pride and joy indeed.

Ok, nowadays I don't have very much time to blog, so til now, just about the event la. Will post pictures of Shanghai shopping and clubbing next, and yes, Ms Sin lady, also the bl**dy square pervert (yes, can you beat that, he is square) who sat next to me, that one must take tme to refresh my memory because it was like a 5-hour of him trying to pick me up. Haha, funny!

MY SHANGHAI AIRPORT SAGA TELLS ME "GOOD LUCK TO OLYMPICS IN CHINA 2008"

Yeah, good luck to China on trying to shape up, not unless they can do something about their taxi drivers spitting out of the window every 3 minutes, stop the migrain-triggering incessant car honking, and improve service staff attitude by 70%. That's a lot to do in less than 3 years, more like they need 3 decades!

I must say while I had a great time working with Kitson and team in Shanghai (we whipped up an incredible event), but I can't say I have the same experience with the people in Shanghai. Everywhere you hear shouting matches....yes, whether the people are quarelling or not, they speak at the top of their voices, and then you realise, hey, that's their mode of conversation! I was once told if you want things done, you CANNOT speak to them gently. I wasn't used to this but, I had to try.....but how wrong, still didn't get what I want. Tell you how i found out......

So, on Saturday, after an euphoric event on Friday, I was due to fly back to Singapore at 10.35am on MU567 (China Eastern), because I have a performance on Saturday night. Scheduled to arrive back here at 3.35pm, I figured I have ample time to prepare even if the notoriously late carrier suay-suay really kenna some delay. I woke up at 7am, cherrily arrived at the airport at 8.40am and went to check which row I have to queue to check in......my eyes surveyed the entire board once, no such flight, panick, can't be, maybe eyes still sleepy. Rub eyes, check again, still don't have. Freaked out, I dragged my luggage packed for like a 2-week travel to China Eastern ticketing counter to enquire. After staring at the computer for a minute, the girl told me there's no such flight. What? Just 3 days ago I called China Eastern office in Singapore after the 4th attempt (they gave me 3 other tel numbers that turned out to be wrong) that I don't have to re-confirm my seats anymore?? Further check, she said it had been cancelled, but due to what reason, when cancelled whatsoever--don't know! Ok ok, calm down, so what is the next flight I can be on. Oh, so now I have to go to another counter called "Duty Supevisor" to ask. Dragged luggage again (yes I know airport provide trolleys, but I have no time...very stress liao because got assignment back in Singapore). Duty supervisor unemphatically says next flight at 3.50pm and I arrive 8.50pm. Quick mental calculation, after collect luggage 9.30pm, my show at 10pm....CANNOT! I went around looking for another possibility. Found one and only SQ flight at 2.35pm, arrive 7.35pm. Ok, still looks plausible, that is if I apply cosmetic on board the plane. Went to SQ counter ask if I can be tranferred over. No seats. They told me to wait, if there's cancellation, I can get it IF China Eastern willing to endorse the switch over, which is entire at their discretion. I prayed silently, YES, phone rang and Kitson told me someone just cancelled reservation and have 1 seat on SQ. I went to Duty Supervisor again, told them my ordeal again, and tell them to help switch me to SQ, a discretion they were just not willing to exercise. I started by being gentle.....don't work, I remembered someone say must speak English, not Mandarin, still don't work. And finally I have to YELL, until I heard my own echo travelling down the departure hall, still no one moved an arse! All the moron did was wrote me a chit that says the original MU 567 has been cancelled and said that I can pursue the matter with my local agent for issuing me the ticket! To cut the long story short, Kitson was nice enough to buy me and get the agent to send me the SQ ticket and we agreed to take the matter to Singapore since there's is NO POINT in seeking help in Shanghai...these people have never heard of service recovery, problem solving or anger management, btw, while I was shuttling between counters to seek help, I witnessed at least 2 other passenger-and-airport staff squabbles.

Then the final part. After checking in to SQ, I wanted to make sure I cancelled my seat with China Eastern (I held on to the 3.35pm seat just in case I didn't get the SQ) so that I can get the refund back in Singapore. So as usual, I went to Duty Manager who tai-chi the task to the ticketing counter, and as you would have guessed it, ticketing counter asked me to go duty manager. Who wouldn't blow a top by now? And yes, this is the only time it worked. Without bargaining further, she tapped on the computer and told me "Cancelled!". I'm not satisfied, I demanded to know when and why MU 567 was cancelled and why I was not informed. She made a probably bogus call which was not answered and just gave me the tel. no to call myself since she got no reply. I'm exhausted, I have to board so I let her off. While running towards the gate, I made the call and as I already half expected it, the China Eastern call centre rep also can't give light to my plight. He offered several clueless possibilties you wished you had not wasted the roaming call charge.

While the biggest consolation was not only I got back on time to do another great show, the flight back on SQ was so much more plesant (if not for the next passenger trying to hit on me-this is another experience I have to post in my next entry), compared to hot-like-hell Sin-Shanghai China Eastern flight which had the loo smelling like porta pumper.

Bet you are exhausted reading too. Anyway, before I forget, all these happened after I already had a tiff with a hotel receptionist ealier when checked out who insisted I still had to make the balance payment of several hundred yuan when it had already been settled by Kitson during check in. I had to dig out the already stashed away receipt as proof before he irately walked away and declared "mei shi le, mei shi le" (no issue, no issue) like as though he is granting me pardon for something I had done wrong!!

Actually I've many lovely pictures to post, but guess I will do so next post because the re-enacting of the Shanghai airport saga causing me to hyper-ventilate. In the meantime, just one of my favourite one, to remind me that there was at least something cool about Shanghai-the weather! More pictures next post.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHERE TO GO THE LONG WEEKEND?

Can't wait to belt my "Long Ban, long lau", will be leaving for Shanghai by tomorow midnight and these 2 days will have some serious packing to do. If not for the fact I have to return by Saturday for a local show, I would have continued on a romping escapade either in another part of China or somewhere else.

So after Saturday's show, just like everyone else, I really really want to get out of Singapore again.....I think half of Singapore's population is leaving the country due to the very luxurious week filled with 2 public holidays. I calculate already, those who don't work Saturdays, they can apply 3 days leave for a 9-day trip spanning from Sat til the following Sun.

I'm not planning for anything that long, just a 3-4 day thingie to neighbouring places but the problem is .....everywhere's fully booked! Not unless you don't mind going tsunami and terror inflicted places....which naturally most people want to avoid (including me). When I called most agencies and mentioned the dates and my (& everyone's) fave places HK and BKK, i can almost hear them sniggering under their breath like "hello, they were fully booked since half a year ago". Of course they offer alternatives like Penang, Phuket and BALI!

As if I'm not convinced, I log on to Zuji travel website and type in Sin-Hk and Sin-Bkk respectively. Sin-Hkk tickets were going for $700 plus per return ticket for some flight timing that takes you there by midnight and over $2000 for return morning flights. Siao! Sin-Bkk better still, they tell you they can't find anything that match my schedule, please widen my search options. Haha and Sigh! Guess I will stay home unless anyone can give a good suggestion.

DID THE TAI TAI (Chinese Socialite) THING ON SUN AFTERNOON-AGE MANAGEMENT TALK

At this age, it just suddenly occurred to you that you have just signed up for any darn anti-aging talk. I have already been to cosmetic surgery talks (not that I have that kind of 'tai-tai' money to spare but always good to know my options when I have), MLM anti-aging products trials etc etc. Would have gone to a botox party if invited to one.
I have stopped being a sucker for any new products that appear on the Guardian or Watson shelves ever so quickly because these products DON'T work quickly enough. I have even spent thousands on these stupid oral vials (can't remember the name) that you break and pour the essence under your tongue and let it slowly seep and absord into the nerves and suppose to be super potent it gives you a mighty boost to the collegen. Don't even see this brand anymore and in retrospect, I was so gung-ho to have tried it. i remembered asking the MLM girl (her name was Angeline) who sold me this thing, but she couldn't answer, so her supervisor, what will happen if anything goes wrong with me since, it's oral consumption right? She has the cheek to tell me I was insured for one freaking million dollars if anything goes wrong. Like duh? Where's my insurance certificate? Who diagnose? Where to claim? Her answers to these are simply.....incredulous......hold your breath, she said "the receipt is the certificate, anything wrong come and find me". Applause, didn't know she is a doctor, insurance comapny, maybe even pathologist all rolled in one. But, can you believe who is the bigger fool? ME, because I still went ahead to try the product.

So naturally, I would RSVP when La Mer (pronounced La Mare) invited me to a Sunday afternoon tea talk. I used to use La Mer but stopped because of its exorbitant price. Frankly I can't tell if it works but its widely publicised historical origin is very impressive and most of the Tai-tai singing students I have have a jar of it sitting on their dresser, and Jlo is said to use this thing on her entire body! Hmm, worth a try again and these talks usually have discounts or feebies. You notice that La Mer counters don't usually have giveaways like other brands? I suppose they don't need to have freebies since its clientele is very targetted.

I went and am not disappointed. Of course I went there prepared to spend a little and resume my beauty regime with La Mer. I bought my usual 30ml jar of miracle mosturiser
and was given a free 15ml

Than before I left, they handed out a door gift which contains another small jar of 3.5ml. See, so cute, ahaha, like papa, mama and baby.

So you know what that means, I have a total of 48.5ml of it, having only paid for the 30ml jar.

Hmm...very contented. By the time I left, these were my possessions

Sunday afternoon well spent.

NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO STRIP TEASE YET!

So finally tonight I plucked up the courage to take some pictures of my pole dance class. I'm too embarrassed to even ask my teacher to take for me because my movements still kinda uncoordinated, so mostly I set the camera to self-timer (it counts to 10secs) which explains why most of the time I'm already nearing the floor when the camera snaps on it's own. You see when you twirl round the pole, you normally start somewhere in the middle than slowly slide down to the floor as you still spinning. That's for beginners lah. When advance you suppose to be able to manouvre or jump up and start higher. So, here goes...but don't laugh, they are alot harder than they look.

Angelina, I know you will be reading this and probably laughing in that cosy and messy little cubicle of yours. Are you going to change your mind about hiring me? Haha. Eh, don't pray pray ok, you see the way the hair swinging you jolly well know got "kang hu" and they not stagnant moves hor. Anyway if I so good I already join the Miss Pole Dance liao, still sit her and blog meh?

Anyway the next move a bit more impressive cos they seem further from the ground (Psst...cos this one posed stationary one)

Wah, but this one kiap until very painful.

I'm just gonna show 1 last one of me. A bit unglam but thought I saw the same pose by Mediacorp's Jeff Wang at the Cancer Fund Raising show trailer. Not bad for me that I can do this too, ahem. Suppose to spin but I kind of stuck!

Anyway, Angie, I know the pictures don't do justice to my dance and look far from appetizing but wait til I put on my killer platform boots (haven't try yet, think the person I kill first will be myself, already so much injury wthout them) and my spit-fire, cleavage revealing (!?!?) outfits. bwahahahaha.

Didn't get permission from my teacher to put this in the blog but guess she won't mind.

So graceful.

Last but not least, the next person sure won't let me post this picture one. But Ju, I promise not to reveal your full name and also picture CANNOT see your face. But you did this so well I'm so inspired (Ju is co-teacher but she just learnt this move)

Wah, shiok ah. Today aching all over. Got one month break to next semester, so how? Maybe must really practise in MRT.

What a way to start the morning....to be told by a colleague we lost a deal......no mood to elaborate, but it's totally moronic.

While I thoroughly enjoy my work, inevitably there are these people, these incidents that will spoil it all for you. Someone just forwarded me this and I think it helps...share it with you, called "Office Prayer"

...OFFICE PRAYER

Lord, as I enter this work place,
I bring Your Presence with me
I speak Your Peace, Your Grace and Your
Perfect Order into the atmosphere of this office.
I acknowledge Your Lordship over all
that will be spoken, thought and decided, and
accomplished within these walls.

Lord, I thank You for the gifts
You have deposited in me.
I do not take them lightly, but commit
to using them responsibly and well.
Give me a fresh supply of truth and beauty
on which to draw as I do my job.
Anoint me creativity, my ideas, mad my
energy so that even my smallest
task may bring You honour.

Lord, when I am confused, guide
When I am weary, energise me.
Lord, when I am burned out, infuse me
with the Light of Your Holy Spirit.
May the work that I do and the way
that I do it, bring hope, life and courage
to all that I come in contact with today.
And, oh Lord, even in this day's most stressful
moments... may I rest in You..
In Your strong and powerful name I pray

.....ah, feel better already. looking forward to thise evening's pole dance already....

CLAN DINNER AGAIN

Barely 2 weeks after that clan dinner, last weekend another one was organised, albeit smaller in scale, and was held in a restaurant in china town. These uncles and aunties really know how to enjoy themselves. So, I thought small scale means no frills and one would just go and 'makan', but guess I was wrong. When nearing the restaurant already heard wayang-styled crooning of cantonese pop songs. Wah, they really start early man, they were karaokeing even before cold dish was served, and if I thought these avid singers would stop when dinner starts, I was grossly mistaken. They didn't stop singing til the last guest shook the hands of the clan president and the line of board members at the door macham wedding dinner style.

My mum is obviously one of the designated performer, but minus all the opera get-up .

Then it was me...... as expected, I wouldn't be spared, being the only so-called professional singer. Without preparation whatsoever, I just selected a song from what few disc they had and just belted out a cantonese number as quickly as possible so that I could get back to my spinach with mushrooms.

See the husband-and-wife duo. They performed complete with showmanship and all a catchy cantonese number "Qun Hiong Kong Lang Lui Dor" means "Pretty Women in Hong Kong".

Very cute one. The song is about a man telling the wife how easy it is to spot pretty lasses on streets of Hong Kong. The wife pretends to partake in the discussion and tricks him into elaboration and before he knew it, she lashes out in jeolousy on how he has been eyeing other girls. In the middle of the song, they even have this bickering dialogue. Than they made up and...........what else, live happily ever after.

And finally, if you remember, my chubby niece. Her last experience (debut) made her realise she has no aspiration to be a singer like "Ah Yee" or karaoker whatsoever, so this time she just came to indulge in the food.

She confided in me why she wore a hood over her head. She said the last time those uncles and aunties chatted, she could feel their showers of saliva all over her head. Ee....ww...., so this time she comes armoured. Haha. she's so cute.
Ok, so tomorow is my last pole lesson for the 1st term. Think I'm ready to take pictures.

BYE BYE MY P MINI

W..A..I...L.....I spent my final moments with my baby pajero mini last night.....this morning it was sent for slaughter already!!

Sometimes things are just so abnormal. It was giving me so much problem even after the engine overhaul I couldn't wait to rid of it. But when I finally decided to, my heart bled a little. And when I drove it for one last time before the dealer took it away, somehow it seemed to have the best engine! Sharks! Have you ever had this kind of feeling? Like you can't stand your hair you want so badly a hair cut and before the mirror at your stylist's saloon you actually look good with that pre-cut hair?

But what the heck, my brand new lancer arriving soon. I feel so infidel, just because they loan me this car during my baby in workshop, I fell in love with this model. But better buy new car that now new car prices have fallen. Did you see the papers front page this morning? Car prices have dropped to pre-COE days?

Ok, my last pictures of my PM before scrapped. I'm gonna miss you baby.

If you are a 4-D punter, don't buy. Any numbers related to me, pager, handphone, house etc. never come out before. I'm that sort that can put 50 coupons in some Best Denki draw and never even 'tiok' consolation prize. If you still want to go ahead, good luck, don't say I never warn you.

Latest Show & Latest Pictures

Check this out. My favourite photos by far

Albeit with some visible love handles, I think not bad la huh, considering a body of my age, of which I'm not telling, unless you are my friend and only people like KITSON who knows my IC number (hrng, tao yen!) will know.

Well, and for those who think that I only have the pink cheong sam for my Suzie Wong persona.....WRONG!

See, I have blue one ok? In fact I have several other colours, just that the pink one is big enough for me to hide another outfit so I always end up wearing that.

For this case, my client requested that I change so I picked one that matches their corporate colour as you can see from the background text and logo. Pro right? But this picture the mannersim so 'san gu liu po', but cannot always pick the nice nice pitures.
But what awed me for this event was the bext cultural performer. Look!

So pretty hor. She was all poise, elegant, and those eyes can kill.....but I later found out she's actually a HE!!!! Wah liao......mana tahan.

Before I return to work.......so finally, I'm getting a new car after all. Update when transaction done. Angelina, happy?...And guess what car.....

KEE-DUM DA-DUM

Isn't Quidam just so good? Not so much of their acrobatic acts since you've seen them all in Moscow circus, chinese acrobatic acts, Las Vegas Mega Hotel shows and 30-second to fame thingie, it's all in the choreo, lightings, costumes and mostly, the music. Even the blue-yellow grand chapiteau makes a whole lot of difference! Only 1 or maybe 2 complaints though. I felt that there were too many of the trapeze-type, hanging from air act. If I could remember, there were the red cloth one, white ropes, the swing and the 3 girls with hoola hoop one. But my friend reminded me that this is a no-animal circus act, so what do I expect other than having people swing-here-swing there? True also, but I thot the 5 or 6 mostly chinese girls re-inventing the thread wheel thing spinning with 2 rods and thread was very very creative. Secondly, think the tickets are exorbitant. But what the **** (whatever word that fits you, they are all 4-letters), I bought and watched anyway, albeit not the most expensive one. Actually I got 1 more complaint but I retracted it later. I was angry at how they never picked the cheapo (or the less affluent) audience in any of their audience interactive acts (makes economic sense though) When that 1st clown picked the front row "chio-bu with T-strings" to do the car-ride act, I was like "why don't pick me, I'm an entertainer, hence I can do so-o-o much better". But when I saw how he messed up her nicely piled hair, her boy-friend cringed and how she still had to pout a "I'm ok, I'm cool" smile, I was all "heng-ah". Haha, but that was funny. So next time if go out with new date to watch cirque de soleil, either don't wear too chio or don't sit right in front!

Anyway, a nice picture of the chapiteau and my chubby niece

Haha, she's so cool with those Paris Hiltonic shades. My family quite drama lor. In fact my family just introduced my niece to her first singing performance stint during one of the recent Chinese Clan dinners (yup, the chee-na type). My entire family being members of this clan has made us regular perfomers at their dinners. Unfortunately for me, having the same surname as everyone in the clan means you are family, and being family means you not suppose to charge your performance fee..urghh!! So, Now me trying to make protege out of my niece so that I can be relieved of this kindred role. So here goes, her debut performance on stage with a very cute fan in front

Aiya, why was I at the background? She was too nervous....so only this time la. Anyway there's more. As if one entertainer and 1 protege in the family is not enough, let me introduce you to my mum........

..........

..........

..............

Ta-dah.....I think my mum is so stylo. At over 60, she's still so cool. I'm a huge fan of mum.

Mum's the one on the right, the hansome one. Talk about drama........ think can turn my home to school of arts already!

So I am supposed to get back my car today but haven't heard from the workshop yet. Secretly, I'm wishing they will not cos' I'm falling in love with the cool dude, Lancer. Have been driving it almost a week now and getting quite used to it. Actually I told myself somehow I hope the workshop people will call me to say "Ms Ming, we can't fix your car.....we don't know how to fix it....cannot find the problem....so please, just keep the Lancer" Hahahaha, good eh? Tan diok.....but wait, yes, wait long long. So after my car overhaul already if somebody interested in buying my car please email me. It's a Sept 98 Pajero Mini, XRII model, 660c.c (yes, only 660c.c, less than a motorcycle), blue colour and the car very chio (wait, let me see if I have the picture of it). After the overhaul, the engine is supposed to be good like new and will last you 3 years no problem. Actually it's a great car for new drivers because it's zippy and you drive within very safe limits. Just that when you learn how to accelerate faster (TP, I didn't say "speed"), that's when you may consider a change.

There you go. How? Cute not, my car? Lucky cannot see number plate, if not scar-ly some people email me say I kayu woman driver on the road.

Well, so much about car-story, I promised photos of my second pole dance class. Sorry to say, I'm not ready yet. Pai-seh second lesson only ask instructor to take picture of me, so decided to learn more stunts first. So, second lesson amongst other things we were taught to climb up the pole (yes, climb) like a monkey up the tree. The pole, as you know is stanless steel, slim, gleaming and look so bloody smooth, I was like "how to do that??" Never did I imagine that I was the only "monkey" who could do it-amazing. Think I can join the fire department liao...or....pluck coconuts if the monkies in kalimantan (correct place or not) are ill. Oh, btw, did I tell you all besides "Suzie Wong" I also perform belly dance? Here's the belly-meas you can see, my show always got audience, but i choose his back so he will not get embarrassed.

Gotto go now. Later got an event. Tomorow, I shall be a spectator of one, the "Quidam". Yeah...it's gonna be Spectacular! Gonna have a darn good weekend.

Ok, so the last was my car had to be warded right? Now worse, they diagnosed more problem (corrosion, leak, blah blah blah) and has to be total overhaul!!!Huh? They don't know how to repair my car is it? Suppose to be qualified agent some more, as if they didn't know got all these problems in the first place. And the worse is yet to come.........I have to pay another TWO THOUSAND BUCKS!!! I want to wring some necks...but I can't because my baby is in their hands. But my boss did. Because my boss drives some big time Mercedes, his call to them carried some (lots) weight. First he bargained the additional price down by several hundreds, then he got them to lend me a car to drive. Wah, don't pray pray, a brand new Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6A arrived in less than 2 hours sia, and before I knew it I was whizzing in a car at least 1000c.c more powerful than my pathetic Pajero Mini. Damn Shiok! Some more can drive until my car ready and all petrol free!! Wee.......

But before you think the problem is (almost) over, another tragedy striked. Someone far far away hacked into my credit card details and incurred some massive charges with my card! Can't say more because the Bank's fraud department is investigating. I just want to tell those who order things freely through the internet like I used to, please be very careful. It IS very scary when it happens to you!

Ok, so much for less-than-happy moments. The thought of going for my second pole dance class is very exciting, and this evening I arriving in my Lancer (chay!) Also, if you see some of our last weekend's event, a family day for a group of hospital, you can see that the people had a great time despite the on-off (more on than off, and rather stormy) rain. Enjoy!

A morning workout before everyone gets started

Telematch brought under shelter when started to pour

Later....the rain stopped and continued tugging-a-war on the field

More happy moments

Watching the stage show in the comfort of the tent or mum's umbrella

Fun fair stalls and freshly-made cotton candy...yum

And finally, the champions
