Unmistakably MY CAR

Was so excited to collect this today.

Do you know what this is?

MY PERSONAL CAR DECAL!

Can be better, but let's see how long the letters are gonna stay there

SPOOKY OR KOOKY?

My beautician, Y told me this while I was having my facial the other day.

Y used to have an arowana , of which she reared from a baby til it was almost 2 feet in length. One day Y returned home spent from shuttling between tending to her salon and 2 kids. Y is a single mum, you see. She collapsed on her tatami on the living room the minute she reached home after sending kids to school and fell asleep almost instantly.

She claimed she woke up dazed to find a stranger, a girl sitting next to her. The girl said she had come to bid her farewell as she was going for reincarnation. As the girl was a total stranger, she hurriedly got up and showed the girl to the door and pleaded for her to leave. When she opened the door, she saw 3 more strangers standing outside and they seemed to be waiting for the girl, and off they went.

When Y hit the tatami again, she claimed she became wide awake and couldn't sleep and hence she decided to head back to her salon.

That night, when she returned home, she found her pet fish sprawled on the floor, perished. Y was devastated.

Next day as she was clearing out the fish and the fish tank, a neighbour came out and asked what had happened. When Y explained what had happened, the neighbour replied "Yah, so weird. Yesterday my 3 hampsters also died"!!!

Remember the 3 strangers standing outside the door! Ewww............

I HEART THIS .....

NEW HAIR PIECE I bought from the last Hong Kong trip. But last night was the first time I wore it because either i have too many hair pieces or I always use the same ones, more like it's the latter.
From the front view, nothing special right? Looks kind of ordinary....

But check out the back:
Woo-hoo! The colour quite Chio right? Anyway nowadays really 'lao' liao. I had to set my camera on self-timer MANY times to achieve the top picture. So many ugly ones I had to delete! Sigh

Anyway I just returned from performing a Pole show for a wedding luncheon. Weird right? Yah, first time at a wedding. I felt strange too as there were kids and older folks watching. But I make it rather 'educational and acrobatic' and am so glad people are getting receptive to this whole idea.

With that it completes my 3 Pole performances this week. I feel so accomplished as no muscle aches nor lethargy. Now I can slap on moisturizer and go for a massage tonight. You know how body lotions and massage oil are not exactly conducive for clinging on to the pole so I had been abstaining for the whole week & I feel so wrinkled!

MY BIRTHDAY COMING SOON EH!

THIS S WEIRD!

This guy supposedly from US has over two hundred videos on "Asian girls dancing", and some friends on youtube have alerted me to his account , because some of MY VIDEOS are found there (and so are hers)

Nothing wrong with that, you say. But the weird thing is he didn't just link or save our videos 'as favourites' to his account, he actutally reproduced them and upload them under a different title. If he has 'saved as favourites", it means people who click on those videos will be directed to the respective uploader's accounts. But for his case, it won't, because they become HIS videos. What kind of festish is that?

Originally I didn't mind the idea, but a friend warned me he may start a website call "Asian girls dancing" like as though it's some kind of porn! Wa, I can't imagine also not being able to moderate or control the comments. Uurgh.

What you think I should do, write politely to him or to Youtube? Got to be tactful, don't want to p&ss him off if he doesn't have ill intention. Already I have quite many hate comments these days...Lol!

I'VE REMOVED SOME POSTS....

...because they have might been miscontrued to be personal attacks.

Can you see that this is a personal blog for me to keep myself sane? You know what is a blog? An online diary. Why online, for people who know me (and some who don't and eventually do) to share my happiness, to console me when I'm down. Sms-es are very expensive, and it doesn't make sense to email all the time, just in case your recipients are busy or are actually not interested. So by keeping it online, you have a choice to read, or comment, or ignore. I have a genuinely interested group of blog friends in my life (and I thank God for them), their encouragements keep me sane and grounded. That's why i blog.

And if you don't know, artistes and entertainers also have feelings, if not more. We are very "emo" people, but we hide it well because we are actors. But for my case, it is because I blog, not because I'm putting an act before you ( I act only when I'm paid to do so), that's why I can always appear very happy-go-lucky when I meet you. When I blog, I let it out and after that I'm ok. But I'm always careful not to mention real actual name or at all, and if you think it's you I'm talking about, then I can't help it that you take it upon yourself and want to feel hurt. Then have you ever thought the hurt I've gone through first to spend this time blogging it? If you ask me, I'd rather do this than to b*tch behind your back.

Like tonight, in my opinion, I had a less than satisfactory performance. My prop arrived late, very late....like when I already started singing then it was brought up on stage. They didn't have time to set-up properly so it was too slippery to execute my stunts properly and I'm disappointed (it could even be dangerous). After the performance,I left the event without speaking another word, I come home I blog, to save me from having to lash out at those guys responsible for the shortfall. It is very disappointing when you work so hard, practice so hard and MARKET the act so hard to have a less then satisfactory performance. (while blogging this post, I just recieved an sms that client is very happy with my show....so guys, you are saved!)

See, that's when I'm not afraid if the set-up guys read this. I didn't mention who. If they don't read or read and don't know it's about them, it's ok. And if they happen to read and have the sensibility to understand why I'm upset because I put SO much effort into it to have it 'sabotaged' by a lax set-up, then feel bad about it and improve. Either way, I still won't despise them. Now that I have let out steam, I'll be ok when i next see them and they will always be a part of my show. No hypocrisy!

Yes, It's sad when you put in so much effort to make things better and what you get is what I deem luke warm. There's no who's right & who's wrong, it's just my opinion. I'm just upset with myself for expecting too much, And YES, because I deal with PAID performances on a professional level, I have a certain expectation and get a certain disappointment when it's not met that way, but it just stops at there. So I blog to remind myself to treat things in a different light, persepctive, pace the next time round. THAT'S ALL, I'm NOT against you! But at least I I hope you know that it takes A LOT of effort to create the videos, the editing, the uploading, and it takes A LOT of effort to send 100 emails to inform people how good your act is.

And then you may ask, then why make it so public leh? Again, I reiterate, it may be an online blog, but I never mention it's you. Anyway please, my blog has never been that popular to tarnish anyone's name. I wish I'm like blogger XX, whose controversy can get her invited on TV for an inteview

Sorry if it doesn't make sense to you, afterall it's 2am. Anyway I may be creating a bigger mess trying to explain myself, but just ignore me lah!

ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE

Was hired by HP to host a mid-autumn festival event. One of the nicest people around to work with.

Besides rewarding me with a box of mooncakes, they also made sure i get the same gifts their guests received on that night which included this bear :
and this pot, which says "I used to be an hp print cartidge" complete with a mini shovel & a packet of seeds

Yes, support original HP cartridges & toners towards their commitment to global recycling program. No, I'm not paid for this

After Youtube, now I'm hooked on OUOU...

which is a chinese video portal.

I don't know about you, but I like her home-made belly dance video. Nice style

ORIGINAL OR WHAT

Some jokes you just can't ignore. For blog friends only.

Remember the lady who yodels & how she professed to have done the country proud for competing overseas and winning 5th place? (ok, so I left out the 5th place detail in my last post, but yes, that was what she said)

Last night after a dinner I walked past this stage again, but this time with a friend, Spidey. Was trying to explain to S about how mutli-talented Yodeller was, singing, changing outfits and performing a 'Korean' dance. Had to imitate and at same time translate to English as Mandarin is not one of S' forte, so it went:

Me (as Yodeller) : "I am the country's pride & joy as I represented Xin Jia Po in Beijing for a singing competition and came in 5th".

S, pretended to be the co-host & in a 'cheena' voice : "Yes, she is the country's pride & joy, winning 5th place out of 5"!

Bwahahahahahaha!

BOTTLE TREE PARK....

.....at Lorong Chencharu, gives you the experience that you are dining out of Singapore, except for the occasional MRT sounds running along the Yishun tracks gives it away. Otherwise, it's really quite an experience with the Lokang Fishing and Prawing activities, all taking place within stone's throw. You can purchase organic veggies at $2 per handful

EGO NEEDS A MASSAGE!

A lovely friend of mine knows that I do pole for fitness (& work) & was so sweet to share a contact of a certified sports therapist with me. She knows how much I need a good massages for those highly tensed muscles.

Over the phone when I made my first appointment, the therapist said "Oh yes, she (my friend) told me about you. I did a bit of research into your background and know exactly what you do and what treatment you need". You have no idea how excited that made me for muslces were really faitque, I couldn't wait until the end of the day to pay him the visit!

When I arrived, he again pride at how as a professional, he had done his research about my job. Then with an outstretch arm as if holding onto a pole, he demonstrated "As a pole dancer, I understand you use your arms alot (correct) & swing around the pole. So I will pay a lot of attention to your arms & shoulders" (the end)

Er yah, and......??? What about my legs, my thighs, my calves, my back, my ........ Then I realised his 'demonstration' was like a podium pole dancer type, those who just hold on to the pole & gyrate although he was less explicit. Thankfully I have all my invert pictures saved in my camera phone. I turned on the gallery & showed him all different invert poses, and THEREFORE, I need a lot more than massage on the arms and shoulders and he went "Oh!"...........haha, think his ego a lttle hurt lah!

POLE DANCE FITNESS IN MEDIA

Think I owe you all this one. Some of you have watched it, but for those who didn't manage to catch us, the Pole-holics on Channel U, here it is.

Sorry I took so long to upload because I wasn't overly impressed with how I look on TV, hence the lack of motivation to get it converted to up-loadable format.

I HAVE 13 YEARS TO CATCH UP!

I think it was mentioned in the beginning that she had been dancing for 15 years.

Absolutely one of the BESTEST I have seen. Where did she get all those legs? In fact ALL, and I mean ALL her students have them. Bobbi runs the most successful pole dance school in Australia. You heard it in the video, she has 1000 students per week. So far the winners of pole dance Australia had mainly been her students (and yes, they have legs and bodies just like hers)

When I reach my 15th year, I'll be in my 50s......haha, a good excuse that I'll NEVER get there! Anyway I vow to watch this video EVERYDAY for inspiration!

NICE FOOD, NICE AMBIENCE....

nice company, for a leisurely weekend dinner at the Hua Yu Wee on Upper East Coast Road
check out the floor tiles and the old weighing scale...
finally I had some time.........

LIFE OF A PODIUM DANCER

I just got back from experiencing the "unglam life of a podium dancer".

You know this is not what i usually do for a living, but tonight Linna, my dance teacher approached me to join her in performing at a private party at 12 midnight for one and a half hours at an 'atas' & exclusive place smacked right inside Fairways Saddle Club, off Eng Neo! We were supposed to be hired as pole dancers, but the way it sounded, it was more like they required podium dancers, albiet with a pole. I agreed because firstly the money was ok, and at 12 midnight, I'm unlikely to get a dinner & dance gig past that hour. And if you know me, except for stripping, I'm game for anything and everything.

The party is for the birthday of a hip publication editor, which explains why I won't post any pictures, don't want to risk getting sued for unauthorised publishing of her party. So you can expect the profile of the guests to be the trendy, slightly uppity professionals.

I was not at all surprised with the 'tainted' respect we received, especially from the female guests. I overheard a lady said snootily "Oh, got SOME pole dancing" when she spotted our arrival. When we started performing, we received ample wolf whistles mainly from the guys, but the ladies typically folded their arms or wine in hand, glanced at the performance from corner of their eyes!

At one point, Linna even got 'rupia' stuffed into her shorts, how RUDE was that! But she took it in her stride & I thought that was really cool. I would too.

Then the party got rowdy, all the guys wanted to try to climb the pole like us, we sportingly cheered them on and even thought them a trick or two. Then out of a sudden, this drunk SPG wannabe went on the pole, swung herself silly til her undies were exposing and almost refused to get off the pole. When she finally got off, the wannabe approached Linna. I thought she had wanted to ask about lessons so that she could dance better without embarrasing herself. I was Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! She had the audacity to ask Linna "You from Tye-Land?" Linna said no, from Singapore. Then she went "Then your friend (me) must be from Tye-Land, must be!" Wa, can pole dance only from Thailand! Kao!

As if that was not enough to make us feel sore for how little 'podium dancers' are regarded, for that 2 hours Linna & I were there, no one, not even the organisers asked us if we needed drinks or a place to sit. We just hung around the DJ console during our breaks, sipping and sharing the only bottle of mineral water that I brought. Meanwhile, while some men occasionally gave us the thumps up, or gesticulated an applause to indicate we were really good, not a single woman bothered to fake a compliment, not even when we bumped into them face to face in the small ladies washroom.

Lastly when our jobs were done, guests started to take their leave as well. You should see how surprised some of them were when they realised I drove my own car. Like what? I'm suppose to walk out the spooky stretch of dimly-lit road at 1.30am to hail a taxi? Or pole dancers don't make enough money to own cars?

Anyway, if you ask me, I'd still do it again if the money is right!

From now on if I go to a club and I see podium dancers, I will clap & cheer for them.

P.s. Btw, me and Linna tried some beautiful couple stunts on single pole. So proud of ourselves, that's enough reason for me to want to do this kind of party again! Good practice!

WA! SHE TRYING TO STEAL MY JOB?

Was walking down Chinatown to check out Lantern Festivities, just before my Wed pole class.

This stage looked familiar, must had done some cheena stuff there before, either for Chinese New Year or Lantern festival, can't remember.

From far, heard a shrilling voice, wah, this woman singing & dancing
http://s62.photobucket.com/albums/h97/mingassuziewong/?action=view¤t=PICT2961.flv

If you think this is some kind of Senior Citizen talent showcase. WRONG! She was the MC of the evening. After the song, she also proudly professed she is some title holder of some singing competiton held internationally and she's our country pride & joy (really, she said something like "wo wei xing jia po zheng guang!")

Then with a change of outfit, she now performed THIS "KOREAN" dance

Wa! She talented or what? And i thought I was the ONLY all-round female local entertainer. Lol

We had our debut group Public performance under Jitterbugs Swingapore last weekend at the Marina Square Atrium as part of the Shape Run Carnival.

Thanks to Ms Sin Lady (and wildgoose) who provided the awesome pictures. Amongst them, these are my favorites.

EVOLUTION OF SUZIE-PART 1

While many people had early exposures to music, I wasn't one of those lucky ones. I had no music lessons whatsoever, we could only afford the basic academics. In fact I'll never forget how happy I was when I received my 1st"portasound" from my parents, who saved hard to get for me. I love them so much for that.

That's why it came as a surprise that after grauduation that I started taking part in karaoke competitions & I realised I could SING! At that time I was holding a full time job in a bank.

The victories in the contests opened me up to various opportunities to perform. One thing led to another and I found myself soon becoming a regular Event Performer, a vocation that is rather unheard of most to the people I know.

Like I mentioned in my earlier post, as soon as I made enough money and was certain I could carve a niche, I invested in my first profile photos.

MING & MOVEMENTS

I won the "Rollin' Good Times" contest which was feaured on TV using this name, and that explains why it was easy for me to carry on with it, til later I 'ditched' the 'dancer' ideas (which were always changing & so hard to coordinate) and carried out the performances on my own. So after that, no more "movements", only "Ming"

At that time, I also had another act, combining with this then 9-year old girl called "Aqilah". She too won many singing contests, albeit at a much more tender age. My sis will remember her as we sang at her wedding. When Aqilah grew a bit older and got busy with her studies, we split. I wonder where and what is she doing now.

MING & AQILAH

We had quite many gigs together. In fact about a year after we split, some companies were still requesting for this act! Aqilah, I wish we can meet again someday

............to be continued

THE EVOLUTION OF SUZIE

Some people are confused as to whether my name is Ming or Suzie Wong? When I explain that "Suzie Wong' is a merely personna I adopt when I'm in that cheong sam get-up, than it usually leads to the next question, why 'Suzie Wong'. It will be quite a history to explain.

Think of it, I have been a performer for no less than 13 years already. I digged up some old files and found some interesting materials and old pictures of me during my early 'showbiz' days and thought it will be interesting to run a series of 'the evolution' of Suzie! I can't put them all in one post because those days they were all hard copies. Scaners, SD cards and thumb drives were not happening yet. So i have to scan these when boss is not looking!

Check out one of the first newspaper clipping. Can you even recognise that demure lady on top right? Hahaha, can die right? This was a picture taken at my friend, Amy's wedding and I used it as my profile shot for at least the next 2 years. Check out the next newspaper clipping that says Big Walk '96! It must have been expensive to go to a studio then!

Wa, I shared the same stage as Douglas O, big thing that time!

I can't recall when, but it must have been about end of 1996 that i earned enough money to invest in proper photos., I had my first studio shot where I was ...........................................................................

THIS ! ......

How? Stylo mylo or not? Hahahahaha. Somemore out fit so Janet Jackson! Are you dying of laughter already? I know the lightings quite over exposed la, that time no digital yet. Still using negatives (or was it positives?)

Anyway, my next post will show you more of these pictures, and I had 2 dancers than, and I called us " Ming & Movements"....heehee (oh, in fact i just read the newspaper clipping, Ming & movements already in force)

A POLE (REVERSE CATERPLLAR) CLIMBING RECORD

ONE DAY!

I'M A PROUD AUNT

Composition of my Primary 1 nephew
Four pictures of a family heading for a pinic by the beach and terms like "sunny', 'very happy', 'tree', swimming' & 'enjoyable day' were provided to helps kids get started with their Primary 1 writing practice.

Clearly the little rascal used his creative imagination to develop his own lil 'secret ending' adding his own words like 'secretly sneaked'. I bet the rest of the pupils just ended the composition with "We had an enjoyable day"!

MY DREAM HAS A SENSE OF HUMOUR

I had a hectic weekend, and no less this coming week----something like 7 gigs over the next 7 days.

If you think "nothing so stressful about that, it's just singing or pole dancing", WRONG! You have to ensure seamless transfers from gig to gig, pole gets there before you, ensure i packed costumes for the different acts, the music works (yes! for those who blamed it on the wire (cable) for the last pole gig, MY WIRE WAS FINE!), ....all these enough to render a nervous breakdown if you not mentally strong

I'm not sure if I'm close to having one, but i definitely had a very weird dream just now that sublimely reveals that I have lots of pent-up stress.

I dreamt that at a pole gig, for every invert that i executed, I found myself really close to the floor. When i eventually got up to do some spins, then i realised the pole was shorter than ME! hahahaha! I woke up feeling really tired but i couldn't stop laughing at how silly it was!

(Sis--haven't forgotten my promise, the scanner at home not working, so gotto get to the office to scan)

(job?) HAZARDS

Sustained a really mean scratch last night from practising. Can't decide whether it's a job hazard. We polers do crazy stuff to just try to get it. Ouch....hurts!

Pardon the cellulite, for its really close to the..............

Probably got it when practising this (the butt slide i call it....anyway my straight edge getting very strong! woo-hoo):

Anyway the team came up with a new choreography, more for beginners, it's fusion-LATIN POLE! (click to watch video) Not quite completed which explains the 'gar-bra' end. For the advance there shall be more inverts added to the choreography.

By the way, for those who have been asking where to catch our performance, Our debut public performance will take place on 8th (Sat) & 9th(Sun) September 2007 3pm at the Marina Square Atrium. I'll be up only for the 9th Sept as I'm busy on the 8th. We'll probably be performing this new routine too!

Oh by the way, the performance team has come up with a really cool name, will probably unveil during the performance.

FAST FORWARD TO 2.20

That's some serious skill!

Think I have been wasting my time trying to perfect pole dancing!

Simple The Best!

It was a quiet Monday night at the Bellini Room.

The 8-member band plus the waiting staff outnumbered the guests.

When the lead singer completed his number "
Simple Life", he uttered tongue-in-cheek "Isn't this what we all yearn for? A Simple Life?"

Spider bantered across the room "I yearn for a Simple Wife"!
to the cheer of the men in the room.

Wa! These men such hypocrites. I think they only mean simple with their wallets lah!

I HAD TO DO THIS!

Today is another gloomy day for me for i have to 'fire' someone. Remember my post last week (Point 2) lamenting on some dull moments and very new colleague already learnt enough to stab my back?

I long suspected this girl colleague (ex colleague by now), let's call her 'Dipa' has been "stirring wind stirring rain in the office". But in the beginning I couldn't confirm it.

Dipa joined the company only in July 07 with some 'hotel' and f&b backgrounds and I took a liking of her immediately as she was an epitome of your young, enthusiastic, charming and intelligent personality that every organisation desires to hire. Very quickly she settled comfortably with eveyone and she added life to the currently male dominant staff strength. She is oh-so-good with her words, never stingy with her appreciation, apologies and praises.

However quickly she made her presence felt & accepted, it was equally quickly that some kind of 'division' started to appear within the once cameraderie boys. It would not be so unbearable if she had been able to produce proper 'work'. The mistakes she made in her work was no end. WHY? Because everyday she seems to be so.o.o busy sending one thousand sms and msn messages to people. Many of these messages were tainted & skewed reports of what's happening in the office.

So last weekend after a gruelling event at the Sentosa I was 'voicing' some displeasure of the way work was done via sms and these were the sms replies from her that followed, which started off really nicely

25 Aug 07 8.35pm (Dipa's handphone)
Anyway I wish to say that I would like to resign…I’m really sorry Ming but I juz feel like I have made a really big mistake. I thot I was suited for this line but I guess I’m not. And instead of being a contribution to the company I’ll end up being a burden instead. I’ll always be thankful to you for at least allowing me the opportunity to at least have a taste of what its like. Nw at least I have a clearer understanding of what event is like . I’ll hand in my resignation letter on Monday. I understand I need to ......blah blah I’ll continue to do all my responsibilities as normal til the end of my notice. Thank you so much for your patience with me. I sincerely appreciate that.
(Wa! Sound so nice)

25 Aug 9.51pm (from dipa handphone)
Hahahahaha! She die la. One wants to resign, one is unhappy with her and F (another colleague) is super bo chap attitude nw. Lol!

25 Aug 9.53pm (from dipa handphone)
Sorry msg wrongly! I dun mean to sound mean. I know ur exhausted. I guess me and K (another colleague) are too.

25 Aug 9.58pm (from dipa handphone)
Real sorry abt the last msg. I feel bad tat I want to leave when things are getting bz at office. And I guess all of us are feeling differently. Tat’s why I mean u die….i dun mean that you can’t survive without us or anything……u most definitely can

POLE IN THE BEDROOM

If you have a copy of today's (25 Aug) The Newpaper, an article on page 24 talks about people in US installing poles in their bedrooms, for marriage maintanence or exercise!

Why go US? I also have in my bedroom what!

REPORTER, WAKE UP! It's here also

The "Hiao" Factor

Someone who has been working with me lots recently revealed that the "Hiao" (vain) factor of my performance has gone up. Hmm....not sure if that was good as the last thing I want is to be labelled "Lao Hiao".

So I scrutinized my most recent video

(turn volume down as the mic-in makes the sound cracking)
I think as I mature, I have become a lil more subtle, not so in-your-face as compared to about a year ago . Not sure if you can tell the difference.

SOME HELP NEEDED

The enquiries for my pole-fessional shows have been coming in quite neatly, not sure if it was due to the SHOW. Thank you Channel U but I also choose to think it is somewhat due to my hard work.

At 7pm today, as I was packing up to leave for home to have my very rare dinner with ma & pa, an event company called up to say she is confirming FIVE pole shows over FIVE weekends in November..............Er November is usually rather 'peak' for my year end assignments. When i said I wasn't sure if I can take all 5, she ranted non-stop on how she is 'screwed' for not being able to deliver as she has sold and promised and blah...blah....! Hmm, ok, ok......I'll plan something. I need a clone!

P.S. Event Companies--please check with me first can? I'd love to do th shows but pole-shows require some (Lots) planning logistically.. Thank you

URGENT! NEED ADVICE

I just received a show booking from someone really nice & polite, spoke of how he was impressed with "suzie wong" (he didn't know he WAS speaking to Suzie when I identified myself as Ming--it was quite funny as he kept asking "does suzie do this and that" and I seemed to be able to answer ALL the questions about HER) when he was working for another company...etc. Now he's with a NEW Event company.

While preparing the booking document, my usual practice for new clients is to search for the company's info i.e. contact, address to include in the document, I realised the company name not listed in yellow pages, yahoo, no website, even Bizfile throws up "No record found"! How? Maybe wait to deposit to arrive to see got company cheque anot!

SUDOKU
Does anyone here give a beep about Sudoku? I had to learn it yesterday as I'm incorporating this into another Amazing Race challenge I have to conduct this weekend (check this out, morning i conduct the race at Sentosa, noon I make up, don my Suzie cheong sam and take a tram to another part of the island to perform at another event, then return to my event to tabulate scores for the race....stylo or not? hahaha). Later taught Spider how to play and ended playing the whole night! Got blamed for not sleeping til 5am!

"CIALIS" MAKES A NICE NAME

I just learned this term from a 'Doctor' friend.......(er, you know who you are"......although this term popped up ever so often in spam mails and I spared no attention to it.

A friend just told us she has named her daughter 'Krabi' because baby was conceived there. Wa! If baby conceived due to the wonders of this ED tablet how?

Lame, really lame, sorry but I'm really busy and stressed! And thanks all for comments on my last post.

WAT'S UP?

so many un-nice people these days.

1. I realise my Youtube videos have increasingly been attracting mean comments, mostly about my looks, or the lact of it. I just posted this 2 days ago already got people call me ugly.

(to see comments, click within screen but out of the arrow and will take you to Youtube)

Previous videos (before I got ahem, popular...hahaha, took least half a year for others to watch and 1 year for people to bitch about). I never even entitle my videos "gorgeous girl pole dancing" to warrant this type of comment. But surely I can opt for "comment disallowed" or delete them, but i choose to believe they are just jeolous lor! haha. Well, OR at least there are people watching!

2. Anyway remember ARROGANT CHICK ? I was told there might be a remote chance of us being in the same performance team........! NEVER! You and me will NEVER share a stage!

3. And remember No. 3 of this post? After I emailed the music over (without charging of course), no phone call, no sms, NO THANK YOU!

THIS IS TOO MUCH!

Can you tell I ordered some of my cutesy/saucy show clothes from this online site before they ventured into doggy clothes? No wonder their "human" relations has gone quite bad these days....they have delayed one of my delivery for almost half a year. Think I have to BARK at them!

-----------------added later-------------------

ahahahaha.....VB, you reminded me......i was thinking where have i seen those.......

ONE OF THOSE DULL MOMENTS

At one of the lower points of my life, I know, I'm usually so cheerful.

1. So much work, so little time

2. Found out colleagues stabbing my back (ouch), despite them being so.o.o.o new and me being so.o.o.o sisterly to them. Lucky I'm the iron lady of the company (or is it Lion Lady as what WG called me. lol, maybe I'm the b*tch afterall)

3. A long lost friend/student called me out of the blue and made me so happy, to later realise all she had wanted was to borrow some minus one music from me ...duh! I really don't like people like that. Somemore not like just borrow hor, must email to who and who to see if suitable or not wo.....wa kao! All well, at least she was honest and went straight to the point. Unlike this other time, another old friend called up and pretended to be catching up. It was like "ah, how have you been, always wanted to call you go karaoke...blah..blah....."then suddenly i realised the phone line was getting cut off as the elavator door was closing. Immediately when i reached my designated floor, he called again, and this time fearing the line may be cut again without getting his point across, he quickly said "the OTHER reason I'm calling you is do you have Michael Buble songs in minus 1?"....you probably can guess my reply!

4. A dear friend having marital trouble, dear me!

5. Then at a recent show, misplaced my "ribbon", the one used for dance. So hard to find someone who can make that! Aiyo

6. The show last nite while i enjoyed, didn't lighten me up much either, I looked so fat and ugly I have no motivation to edit and load up to Youtube, so unlike me.

Anyway tonight i have pole practice, that will do to cheer me up! Yippee!!!

I don't have my private jet BUT......

I have my ice-cream van......hahaha

We treated ourselves to yummy yummy ice cream after a pole workshop at Ben & Jerry's Dempsey and can you see the word 'Suzie'?

Anyway, the beautiful and very talented Bailey, owner of Pol-arise Sydney was in town for 2 days and we hijacked her for 2 days of workshops.

We were especially grateful with the invaluable tips on the spinny pole as here In singapore I doubt we have any lessons on the spin mode. Bailey is such an angel on the spinny, here's the VIDEO. And here's ME having a go on the spinny pole like a newbie, it's a totally new game!

P.s. As I'm uploaing this post, I watching the NDP 07 from home, just lazing about with both TV and computer screens before me ....so shiok! I have no desire to leave the house at all, even tho i feel i should later.....can't remember when was the last time I have A WHOLE DAY of nothing, just MYSELF.....ah..bliss!

I want to travel with this bag

So in love with this series of bags from Central Mall. Picture blur because i was trying to be discreet. The luggage bag cost $440, I tell you where to get if you need birthday pressie idea for me...heeheehee......

Nothing much to update as I'm STILL very very busy (colleagues are rookies, the slightly more experience one is in reservist), so many events to plan, national day celebrations, family days, dnds, my own pole shows etc etc..........so just a quick one on some random pictures ok?

1) I thought this was funny as I was waving for my colleague NOT to take the picture.

2) Ok, can snap now. This is ryan, my care-bear colleague..hahaha, that's what one of his client calls him.
Us, pretending to be ok during the army amazing hunt event. Can you imagine it was just run by us (plus the boss)?

THE ARMY EVENT

went quite well la
Me, the conceptualizer, the game host, the scorer, can you see I even helped to serve lunch? Really multi task.

Digress : Watch Ho Sun Ho's (the pastor) latest and first International Music Video (I hijacked this from IMP)

What do u think? While i agree on most things this blogger says, EXCEPT, I DISAGREE with the "37 NOT being young" part (actually I do la), just that, we both similar age, we both singers, we both wear skimpy clothes to sing and dance. So, it stabs...ouch! Anyway, it's ok, we totally of different league. I can still visit Pasar malam and take bus without a single sole recognising me.

Having said that, I'm appearing on Channel U on 14 Aug 8pm on "Du shi Da Fa Xian" as a Pole Dance Fitness Instructor of thebodytalks. So, please support, maybe this will be my BIG break....hahaha

I miss blogging and reading your blogs

Finally i have some time. It has been a busy week, and it's not over.

Firstly I was involved in this relatively huge production, some kind of pageant thingie.

The size of this production wasn't the problem, it was them making me learn and memorize a Siti Nurhaliza song in a week because there were some important guests from Indonesia that caused me sleepless nights. Try memorizing a language that you have no clue what's it's all about and you know how I feel.

Then besides my own regular performances, we finally debut our Group Pole Performance (Big Spender) at a birthday party. Here's the video. The 3 girls are Eunice, Me and Linna.
Again, it wasn't the performance that freaked me but the logistics. I don't want to dwell into the details, but let's just say that our performance is the only thing I enjoyed that night.

On this same night (prior) to this, I actually did one of my own regular pole-singing performance which was attended by a Minister. After the event, Minister asked if he was going to see me at the National Day Parade! He said he didnt know Singapore has such talents. Wah! Haha

Now I have 2 more days to conceptualize an amazing race concept at the Sentosa for a group of NS boys this weekend. When you have a relatively new team of colleagues, it means Auntie here has to do everything down to planning the clue, the score system, the route, purchase materials....everything.

With my regular office duties, I have been putting in 10 to 12 hours daily and weekends not spared. OH, one more thing. I have recently been enraged by another Youtuber who called me ugly in another of my videos (I so jia lart meh?). Somemore this one worse than the last. This one from tak boleh country called Kare El (KL), sure kenna terok terok from me. Our cyber bickering had pushed this video hits to over fifty thousand liao...hahaha.....

SOMEONE NAMED THIS MOVE DANGEROUS BRAIN

Ok so i wasn't sure if it was dangerous brian or brain, but i choose to think it's the latter because i'm literally hanging by the ankle while inverted. It is REALLY dangerous to the brain if slip!......(the second move after the transition from the first which is called bow & arrow.)

DANGEROUS BRAIN VIDEO

If you don't enjoy my video, at least enjoy the 'Ella, ella , ella song by Rhihanna" i downloaded for this video lah!

I HAVE A GIFT

Years ago i used to give an elder person singing lessons, sometimes up to 3 times a week. Then he was already in his 70s, semi-retired, a very successful business man. He mentioned he had wanted to pick up singing during his younger days but was stopped by his uber schedule of building his retail empire.

Don't expect a seventy something year old man to sing well, for he took each session as a means to enjoy his favourite songs, and improve on basics like breathing, intonation, and voice projection.
The lessons gradually reduced to nought when his health suffered. Then recently I received a call from his long-serving secretary to enquire about lessons again. He must be in his 80s now, for i haven't seen him for a while. I had procratisnated due to my busy schedule (and laziness on my part as he usually wants his lessons at 7.30am) but this morning I relented as i could almost hear a plea that he wanted to see me.

When i arrived, I was not surprised he sat on his chair, almost invalid. The domestic helpers needed to force open his eyelids to let him see I was here. I greeted him with a big smile and like clockwork, i put on his familiar songs, karaoke VCDs that were covered in dust. Slowly he started to clap along, softly mumbled along. It was very moving.

When I was leaving, I heard him utter "I'll call you again". Just as I'm typing this, I received a call from the secretary again to say he wants weekly lessons! I have to wake up early once a week! poof, but, I guess I'm willing.

Boy , was that sobering. Now to change the mood a little, let me show you another talent of mine. Recently at an event, after my performance, i was asked back on stage to give an impromptu dance demo so that the best dressed partcipants can emulate.......hahaha totally unrehearsed but see the result.

THE LITTLE ANGELS

The actual performance reduced to only 5, but the best 5. Again, the blue skirt girl (her name is valerie) is the all-time winnner

It's all about passion

It's no wonder i feel tired almost about everything everyday. Picture this:

  • daily about 9 -10 hrs work (altho when got gig i get to leave office at 3/4pm)
  • 2 gigs last friday
  • a more than full day event at sentosa 9am to 2am (the kid's choreo event)
  • a gig on tuesday at midnight
so exhausting!

But come every wednesday night (pole practice night), you can see the va-va-vroom in me.

And this practice was from 9.30pm to 11.30pm, after slogging in the office from 10am to 8pm, still managed to steal an hour shopping at toysrus for a party this weekend (ahem, researcher yes you!lol).

Now I'm just wondering how i'll survive the rest of the week with weekend gigs and all!

Suzie tries out a song from Dreamgirls

"ONE NIGHT ONLY"

Totally fell in love with this song after watching Dreamgirls. Thought it made quite a good closing for my show.

I have a penchant for the slow to fast thingie, just like my "Sell broken bottle song"...(right VB?) heehee.

SUZIE'S LITTLE DANCE ENSEMBLE

Don't expect much of a choreography, we put this together in less than 2 hours, including making of the pom poms (yes, some of them made the poms poms themselves)

click HERE to watch the video

You may only want to concentrate only on the 2 stars in front (ignore the backdrop especially the older girls who evenually dropped out). But the true star and the most enthusiastic of them was the little angel next to me, who obviously wasn't meant to be part of the show! Kekekeke.

Anyway, teaching & practice was difficult as it was intended to be a kids session only (parents were suppose to have other itirinery). See how many kia-su parents were lurking around which made my job so difficult, as the kids started to be clingy, distracted and embarrassed.

NANNY

These 2 days I shall be very busy. Apart from having to entertain at an army mess and another d&d tonight, come tomorow i will be a nanny of all sorts. We have a whole day 'family' event at an island (yes whole day from 1030am to 1030pm). I'm nanny of 82 children, choreographer of 15 of them and another 9 Heads of Dept of the company. And come evening during their dinner, i'm going to be their 'back-up' singer during their 'karaoke' session, to 'save' those who croak!

There goes my GLAM days!

I hope to post the children's item, i think it's going to be very cute

WHICH IS YOUR FAVOURITE?

I showed him videos of three incredibly talented pole dancers....

1. Michelle of Gravity Plays Favourites
-burlesque artist

2. KTCoates -owner of big time Vertical Dance, pioneer of Pole Fitness

3.Elena Gibson-World's Pole Dance Champion

His pick?--1st one, and i can understand why.

Oh btw, if you click on the right-my latest pole dance performance video, I have added a little montage at the begnning (rest of the video from old source so can skip). It's a bit corny but took me hours to do it using my windows movie maker .......lol! I'm very tempted to invite comments, but pls be kind if you think it's silly, cos I'm actually quite proud of it. Haha
